Our Gym in Ålesund

In the heart of Ålesund campus you will find our gym. The gym is centrally located on the first floor of Sundebygget.

This is a brand new and state-of-the-art training center with the best equipment on the market. We have dedicated areas for both strength training and endurance training, in addition to a large and beautiful room for groupclasses.
Close to the center you will find NTNU's sports hall and changing rooms. In the gym, you will find simple wardrobes where you can leave your most important belongings.

Individual training

We have a varied individual training area inside the gym, arranged with different zones for cardio training, body weight training and stretching. We have a wide range of machines with everything from treadmills, stairmaster, bicycles and rowing machines, to free weights, cable towers and training rigs.

Groupclasses

Do you want to train endurance, strength or perhaps yoga? We have several different weekly group lessons that you can choose between. Common to all our group classes is that the instructor guides you through the entire class, so that you get the best possible benefit from your training session.

Physiotherapy

You can get tailored physiotherapy treatment at a reasonable price. We offer close follow-up and customized treatment for all types of musculoskeletal disorders, exercise and sports injuries.

NTNUI-membership

Did you know that we collaborate with NTNUI (student sports) in Ålesund? When you buy membership with us, as an NTNU student you can get membership at NTNUI-Ålesund included in the price. Take part in a range of activities and sports - everything from football, handball and indoor bandy, to Frisbee golf and dancing. You will surely find something that suits you!

Outdoor training rig

Just outside Ankeret on NTNU's campus you will find an outdoor training rig. This training rig was set up by the Student Parliament in collaboration with Sit, NTNUI and NTNU. The rig is open to everyone and can be used for various forms of training using your own body weight.
