Cultural workshop

All children of students in Trondheim who are of kindergarten age can take advantage of the "Cultural Workshop" offer.

The cultural workshop(kulturverkstedet) is a leisure programme specifically for children of students, open three days a week. Here, children can engage in a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, singing, music, play, dress-up, excursions, and trips. The programme is based at Moholt Kindergarten, which provides access to its own gym and outdoor play areas.

A Range of Activities

On Saturdays, additional activities are organised to encourage exploration, including theatre, dance, museum visits, city walks, and local area trips.

Kulturverkstedet also participates in external activities such as storytime at Moholt Library, cinema trips, concerts, events at Loftet, and visits to Voll Gård 4H. This diverse, affordable, and attractive cultural offer for children allows you to focus more on your studies and student life.

Dedicated Student Assistants

The staff at Kulturverkstedet are dedicated student assistants who also work as substitutes at Moholt and Dragvoll Student Kindergartens. All staff members have approved background checks and experience working with young children. Typically, there are 3-4 permanent student assistants who lead Kulturverkstedet throughout the year. The programme also provides meals prepared by the kindergarten’s chef on weekdays, while the student assistants prepare meals on Saturdays.

Children attending our kindergartens can be accompanied to Kulturverkstedet by the staff on weekdays.
