About student housing welfare in Sit

The student housing welfare work in Sit focuses on promoting well-being and cooperation among students. Through regular visits to shared accommodations, guidance on various topics, conversations, and running various student meeting places, we aim to facilitate a safe and well-functioning social environment in our student villages. This work is essential for enabling our students to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives whiles staying with us.

By being present and accessible, our student housing welfare officers provide advice and support related to both the physical housing environment and interpersonal challenges that may arise in shared housing. We focus on the needs of students and strive to create a culture where collaboration and community are keys to our students' well-being. By ensuring a safe and well-functioning social climate, our goal is to help our students thrive and succeed in their studies.

Our student housing welfare officers can offer:

  • Guidance on life in the student village and in shared accommodations
  • Tips and tricks on how to collaborate in shared apartments
  • Information about the various meeting places in the different student villages
  • An informal chat if you’re facing challenges in your housing situation or are concerned about a neighbour in the student village

Student housing welfare officers can be reached at bomiljo@sit.no and via the portal bolig.sit.no after logging in as a tenant. Feel free to stop by for a chat if you run into us in your student village!
