Resetting routers

The information below applies to all housing with Internet from Telia (i.e. not Rosenborg student village and Nedre Møllenberg gate 25B student housing).

Resetting routers

For the Internet to work in your housing, the router must be reset when you move in. This means that you must give a new name and password to the wireless network. This is done in the following way:

  • The router must be switched on (on/off button on the back of the router).
  • Hold down "Reset" on the back of the router using a pen for approx. 15 seconds, until all lights on the front of the router switches of.
  • Using a mobile phone/PC, search for the wireless network listed on the router and select it.
NB! It may take a few minutes for the network to appear in the list of wireless networks.
  • Log in with the password provided on the router.
  • Enter 192.168.0.1 in the browser.
Fill in with only lowercase letters: Username: home
    Password: home
  • Then press "Log in" - and in the next step press "Change password"
  • Tick both 2.4G and 5G (at the bottom of the screen) and give them a new name and password. NB! New name and password must be different from what is written on the router.
  • Press save - you will now be logged off the factory settings network.
  • Wait until the network you named appears in the list of available wireless networks, and log on to your new wireless network.
