Checklist for cleaning student housing when moving out
Cleaning your room and apartment isn't the most fun thing in the world, but it does help to have a small check list, at least!
Checklist for cleaning private room and common areas when moving out
Privat room
- Clean ceilings and walls, windows inside and outside, window frames, door and door frames
- Clean blinds, curtains, curtain suspension / rail
- Clean panel oven front and rear
- Clean all lamps and light fixtures, switches and sockets
- Furniture, wardrobe, bed
- Clean all valves and leave them open
- Clean all floors and baseboards
- Empty the room of your own belongings and throw away rubbish
- For privat room with own bathroom:
Clean / scrub shower enclosure
Clean shower mixer, faucet, washbasin and mirror
Clean the toilet, inside and out
Clean mirrors and possibly washbasin with equipment
Clean the ceiling and all the walls in the bathroom
Common room
- Remove all personal belongings and all rubbish from common areas
- Clean your own kitchen cabinet and drawer inside and outside
- Clear out and clean your own shelf in the fridge and your own drawer in the freezer
- Clean the stove, including the baking tray and grate
- Clean the kitchen ventilator - also wash the filter
- Clean your own shelf/drawer/cabinet in the bathroom
- Clean shower walls and doors, and wash/replace shower curtains
- Wash kitchen and bathroom floors
- Empty the shed of your own belongings and clean up after yourself
Checklist for cleaning separate apartment, when moving out
- Clean the kitchen fan over the stove - also wash the filter
- Clean the inside and outside of the stove, including the baking tray and rack
- Clean the inside and outside of the dishwasher, the sides and the edge along the inside of the dishwasher door and the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher
- Clean the inside and outside of the refrigerator, clean the back of the fridge and empty / clean the container behind the fridge
- Clean all kitchen cabinets and drawers inside and out, as well as light fixtures on the underside of kitchen cabinets
- Clean worktops, wall behind worktops, kitchen sink and kitchen faucet
- Clean all tables and chairs
- Clean / scrub shower enclosure
- Clean shower mixer, faucet, washbasin and mirror
- Clean the toilet, inside and out
- Clean mirrors and possibly washbasin with equipment
