The doctors at SiT Gløshaugen legesenter (medical centre) have many student patients. Therefore they possess special expertise in health matters relating to young people.

The centre provides standard medical services, such as medical examinations and treatment (including minor surgeries), advice about contraception, antenatal check-ups and medical certificates. For example, if you’re sick on the exam day, you can get the necessary certificate the very same day. The centre also carries out vaccinations and gives medical advice about travelling abroad.

SiT Gløshaugen legesenter (medical centre) is part of the permanent doctor scheme. Once international students are registered in Norway, they automatically receive a form (at present in Norwegian only) about the permanent doctor scheme (called “fastlegeordningen” in Norwegian) from the Social Security Office.

Information about this scheme can be obtained from SiT Gløshaugen legesenter (medical centre) or The International Office, NTNU – or you can even call the permanent doctor scheme directly, tel. 810 59 500.

If there are vacancies on the centre's patient list, you can have your permanent doctor at SiT Gløshaugen legesenter (medical centre).

The Casualty Clinic at St. Olavs Hospital is not an alternative for medical treatment as it is for emergency cases only.
